I’d like to start a chat here:
It’s still a struggle for me to understand the pull into this particular story when interest in most stories, beliefs, mind chatter is all but gone. When you think about it, is it any different to law of attraction, astrology or anything else going on in the world? Famine? Animal rights etc?
Why are non-dualists pulled in here? It’s all seen to be ‘one’. No other. No out there, no in here.
What does wakefulness truly mean?

And I've never understood what it means to call someone, or identify as, a 'non dualist'. And I don't know why I'm here. Out of habit I suppose. And because Reefs drained all the fun out of the other forum.

I have never come across any subject that causes as much delusional thinking as an interest in non-duality! There is no such thing as being a non-dualist.

Why do people who have ‘recognised’ truth love this story? I don't think that's true. Well I suppose it depends on what you mean by loving the story. There can be a desire to share truth. Loving the story is a kind of obsession that's why I think that non-duality is like heroin. It can take hold of you and dominate your thinking.

Am specifically talking about ‘the great awakening’ stuff.

This is a forum about spiritual awakening which developed a sideline into talking about the pandemic with a thread entitled the great awakening. So I guess you're not talking about enlightenment.

No, I’m talking about the pandemic and enlightenment. Does that make sense? Why so much interest (and I mean here too)?

I see no connection between the two. What's happening with the pandemic is samsara. Some people are being completely taken in and ruled by the narrative. Others are looking more deeply and questioning that narrative. All of this is taking place against a background of fear and hysteria. For me none of this has anything to do with any kind of awakening on a collective level. There have been much darker periods in history as well as more "enlightened" times, but I don't mean that in any kind of spiritual sense. Whatever happens the world will always be the dualistic realm of samsara.
