I put that mat away for good a long time ago. You do know I don't meditate right?Right. I'm saying you should. But I am!

What? Drinking? I don't practice meditation anymore. Meditation became my natural choicless state. Meditation is not something we do although it is convenient to speak in those terms. Meditation is what happens when the Mind becomes still. Now I am in permanent stillness and therefore it can be said that I am always in meditation but not as a practice. When I respond to your silly comment you don't think I'm just speaking to you do you? I'm speaking to anyone who might get some value from these words who just happens to read them. You are just incidental to the process.

That bit obviously was. 😀 Yet there is something from your own obsessiveness that others may be able to relate to in their own seeking.

In other words, you've taken the transcendent teachings of a master, and bastardized them....turned pointers into conceptual mind food for seekers. Nice.

Considering everything Reefs has posted about meditation in past years, was very surprised to see this recent post of his:
What you are suggesting above there Reefs, sounds quite "scheduled."
According to what you say above there then, there are 'expectations' attached to your current interest in scheduling a meditation practice. Would love to hear specifically what those are.
What you've previously said below seems to speak directly to your new interest in creating a set, scheduled meditation plan. Again, Would be interested to hear what changed for you re: this. It's always interesting to hear what's behind a new view in one who has been very mired in a previous position.
I wonder then Reefs, are you currently experiencing a lot of stress/resistance, absence of conditional peace, and you are feeling urged towards a scheduled meditation practice to relieve that? Are you finding that choosing 'focus' itself then, is not enough for you to maintain what you refer to as 'alignment'? I'd be interested in hearing more about that as you've always talked about the ability to choose direction of thought/focus to be pretty much bullet-proof in terms of causing/creating "alignment".
Are you currently feeling "incomplete and unworthy" or have you changed your mind about meditation practice in that regard?
And re: the quote below...would you classify your current interest in formal, scheduled meditation practice an interest in playing mind games? If not, has something shifted for you or do you regard your interest in meditation somehow to fall outside of this 'time/effort' bit you reference below?
