The details he provided were throwing me off course. It may have been simpler to say the timeless can only be reached by the timeless, and be done with it. But it's not like I know that. I dunno... Most people think that the waking state is an objective, physical reality. The lucid dreamer's here on the forum, Jung, and Freud are all onto something when they suggest points of potential insight between the waking/dreaming states. It's similar to how we can look at a tree and notice that it's really just an extension of the Earth. How the club, as it hits the ball, is an extension of your body.
These insights can suggest that the assumption of an objective reality is false, but as figs likes to point out, it doesn't tell you anything that's ultimately "Truthy". This is because there's no putting infinity in a box. Talking about an "infinite state", is talking shit. It's true enough that you are timeless, though. Yeah, but for how long?

Ahh yes...that's the question. And it's for you to Discover and not for me to tell. Oh Okay, here's a clue... The waking state for the 'person' is the sleeping/dreaming state for Infinite Consciousness. Conversely the sleeping/dreaming state for the 'person' is the waking state for Infinite Consciousness. Is this your ultimate understanding? Who wants to know?

Longer than it took to rescue the crew and passenger's of the Minnow.
I should say though, that some of what ZD and some other mystical writers have written about various episodes, certain experiential states can be real attention getter's. So I wouldn't be so quick to call bullshit on "infinite state" if it was being used to describe a personal experience. I know I can relate, at least, but my poetry along those lines has never seemed to catch fire to the point of inspiring others.

It can't be determined philosophically, that's for sure. I'm just taking a walk around the lake. Hearing sounds, feeling movement, smelling smells, tasting cool airs on the tongue, touching the face of something I can't really know. No apologies.

A 'person' as nothing in particular? I think you should stick to golf and forget about Spirituality...

By your logic if infinite is shit then so is timeless oh great cherry picker of spiritual terminology.

Got to give you credit though, you lasted longer than your mentor Muttley... Cheers Really? Butthurt? In your dreams. I sense most folks here understood what you were up to before you even realized what you had gotten yourself into. I mean, really... what did you accomplish? Walking around for a week with your superficial glossary of terminology at the ready. What a dork!
