Explain what you're pointing at to me. Awareness being the whole gamut is an intellectual gymnastic exercise. That's all I'm 'pointing at'. Awareness isn't the same as having a thought. When you consciously pay attention to what your body is telling you when you ask it a question, awareness is increased. A mother is aware of how her child feels without having to think, "Oh this is bothering him, or that has gone wrong. She simply knows. I'd have to conclude awareness is intuitive, too. Our role is to pay attention.

Our role is to pay attention. When you have a bodily sensation, it's like having a thought. It's an object. Instead of paying attention to thoughts, during meditation you are paying attention to the body. There is nothing wrong with that, but it isn't the divine occupation we think it is. You are just, at the time, favoring bodily sensation over thought. We are paying attention all the time. The things we are paying attention on, well, that varies from human to human.

I don't know what to make of your take on meditation. What you've described isn't familiar to me.

My point is I'm unable to follow what you're saying. Brain function and awareness have an undeniable correlation. Awareness isn't all that primal. awareness is not thought...its beond thought .....imagination.. expanding
