Completed my 6 days trekking!!!!!! Anybody knows how to place pic here? sometime Laughter post pic for the whole page, If I drag and place it here, it says it can't be more than 1MB. what should I do to place pic here? You'll have to decrease the resolution of the pics. Even if I add small size photo, it still attaches, it's not pasting in the writing section as Laughter does.

I DO agree with what he's saying here, however, important to note that he's addressing the seeker who is just entering the shifted perspective that reveals the absence of inherent existence of the SVP...of ALL that appears. The bolded is an admonishment of sorts not to mistake the relief of a sense of peace, where previous there was separation-based angst with "Truth" itself. It is a fact that abiding wakefulness DOES impact experience, but that impact...those changes in terms of how life is experienced must not get conflated with the realization/seeing through...the "shift in locus of seeing" that IS SR/wakefulness. I still think McKenna goes a little too far though..gets a tad over-dramatic, in his talk about pain and fear being a necessary facet within an initial awakening.

“Spiritual awakening,” I continue, “is about discovering what’s true. Anything that’s not about getting to the truth must be discarded. Truth isn’t about knowing things—you already know too much. It’s about un knowing. It’s not about becoming true, it’s about un becoming false so that all that’s left is truth. If you want to become a priest or a lama or a rabbi or a theologian, then there’s a lot to learn—tons and tons. But if you want to figure out what’s true, then it’s a whole different process and the last thing you need is more knowledge.” - Jed Mckenna So perfectly put.
