Can't help but notice West Virginia has not reported any cases of COVID19. It's the only state in the country that isn't red. Hmmmmmm... Coal is carbon based, and absorbent. We are carbon based, too, and appear to have a penchant for absorbing things in our immediate environment. Perhaps the coal in WV is fooling/seducing this virus and absorbing it....?

Well, that was interesting. There was an email sent my way last night from the golf club I play at. The email stated that the playing of golf will be prohibited until March 30th because the playing of golf at a public or private course meets the Governor’s criteria for closing the schools, bars, and restaurants. The email could be responded to, and was, quite a few times last evening. Quite the kerfuffle overnight. I didn’t know these guys could write! So, in conclusion, I can start up my truck and run into town to pickup a carry-out order in a restaurant, that was packaged by some kid with a huge snot bubble coming out of his nose (won’t be going there anymore), and then go down the road another mile or two to legally buy a bag of weed from some storefront stoner, and stop off on the way home to, again, encounter another person who looks like hell and insists HE has to swipe my debit card in the machine to buy a six pack of beer; but I cannot load my golf clubs into the truck and drive three miles to an open, expansive expression of Nature’s natural bountifulness, and sweet smelling fresh air to play a round of golf with friends….. We’ll see about that! (While writing this, the previous president of the club responded to the email @ approximately 7am with an- “Oh Yeah? I’ll Be There To Play This Afternoon!”) *Checks bank account to make sure I can make bail!* ANARCHY!!!

Let's use your own criteria. When you went to Costco to buy up your toilet paper, how did you know you were well enough to do so? Weren't you taking a risk? How did you know you were well enough to do so? Had a doctor's appt. of late? How do you know you didn't encounter a corona virus carrier there, hoping to be tested? Or at the gas station? Do you have a mailbox? How do you know your mail hasn't been contaminated? Have you been tested? In my post I described the dangers one can encounter. I'm not certain we can smother the impulse to live. Can we?

The whole adventure is really stranger than we CAN think.

But if we present a doctor with a concern based on what we're learning, you can be tested. The 'corporate' hospitals here in Michigan are setting up drive -thru testing all over the state if you can get a doctor to sign off on it. People are still going to work, aren't they? But you wanna make me out to be the bad guy. But really, how does one stifle the impulse 'to live?'
