the reptiles quest for world domination has begun!  lol or perhaps in this case, they're crawling back under their rock (no offence Enigma, love the frogs). Frogs are eviler than reps, just slippierer, cleverer. Must be watched. Never fed after dark. |

10 confirmed cases here. One death. Suspected community spread. Quarantine recommended.  Yes. Some numb nut from our county emergency preparedness team told every one on nextdoor to store two weeks worth of supplies. Today while riding my bike I saw the mayhem at the grocery store, sheer panic. Hope folks calm down a bit. I'm more afraid of the frenzy than the disease. Where's FDR when you need him? proper planning and practice prevents piss poor performance |

Sucks in one way, but I see slight signs of neighbours helping each other, perhaps something positive in it all (relatively). yes, my own neighbors lent a helping hand bringing in groceries....joking about possibly coming over to 'borrow a square,'....I see that too and it's inspiring. I like those positive kind.  |

This morning I had the tv news on while reading posts, and the story popped up with regard to the countrywide quarantine in, Italy. The people on both sides of the street were out on their outdoor patios in their high rise apartments singing old Italian songs in unison in their neighborhoods. The whole thing had a rather profound effect on me.... just stopped me dead in my tracks.  Yes, a gift from our viral friend; a new way of being in community. If one is sensitive, that energy has been around for a number of weeks. Still waiting for it to infect the forums.  |

With hindsight I think I/we were pre-empting the coming weeks. On the home front, a few weeks ago, I experienced a surprising movement to fill the house with plants. Which I did. Plants are good. |
