If this freedom you call an absence impacts on what is present then that must be an experience. What is present from moment to moment is appearing and disappearing and changing and if there is an impact on it, that obviously changes the experience. You are trying to have your cake and eat it. The more fundamental question would be, what is the point of SR if it doesn't have a positive effect on your life as lived in the body? Flawful logic. It is not an experience. It IMPACTS experience. There's a difference. Methinks it's around beer number 4 where those kind of mistakes of cognition start getting made...?

This is rich indeed. At Zendancer's thread Samadhi countered by Sharon to send that experience to the website he proposed to Guilinda. A portion of Zendancer's post -----——------------ " Also, FWIW, I was never able to enter deep states of samadhi in a zendo with other people around--only when i was sitting by myself at home, alone. Once or twice I entered very shallow levels of samadhi in a zendo on retreats, but never anything super deep. Going deep always felt to some degree as if I had somehow gotten onto an elevator in the mind that descended to some unknowable depth before coming to rest." Sharon's reply ----—--------------- www.spiritual-experiences.com/submit-story.phpRead more: spiritualteachers.proboards.com/thread/5450/samadhi#ixzz6Di2kuDhX

Got to hand it to 'ol Sharon here......so very nimbly (yet subtly) pointing out to ZD his bias for one type of spiritual experience over another....when really, if we're talking spiritual 'experience' one is basically no different from the other. Neither is 'actually' transcendent, after all.

How would you know there had been an impact? Talk about flawful. 😀 Flawful reading. Impacting the experience is the same as changing it. What you said is that absence is an experience. You'll find my response to that at the top of this post. (Have you finished off the six-pack at this point?)
