You don't think it's fishy that he walked out of his interview with Donny for FBI director right into the special counsel's job? On the day after the election, there wasn't a single elected or appointed official in D.C. who wasn't uneasy about Trump, a rank outsider, which also explains the Session's recusal. My take is that the S.P. was set up to hold something over him, just in case. I also think that Comey was in a position that no other cop had ever been in, and the whole "Lock Her Up" thing was just completely appalling in what it portends for the potential future of the process. I mean, what, exactly, was the guy supposed to do? But the problem is, her and Bill brought this down on us with their actions, and not just the private e-mail server, but the 100's of millions of dollars they raised, mostly from foreign interests, during her time in the Obama administration. Foreign influence in American affairs is hardly anything new, and this Mueller kabuki is a rather cynical play on the public's naivete and the opposition's willingness to believe anything negative about Mr. Hair. And oh, the ironies of the details underlying the warrants Mueller used to catch the convictions he did get are quite thick, indeed.
No, I don't find the Mueller interview for Director fishy at all, and you sound like Chris Ruddy from NewsMax. There is currently litigation in front of the DC Court of Appeals regarding Muellers legitimacy, so let's just wait for the white wigs to sort through all the evidence, shall we. But sure, no doubt, if the truth about millions of dirty DC dealings over the years ever became known, I'm sure we'd all spit and cuss and rage about it on the net somewhere. I'd characterize the current situation as an instability that is the U.S. as a collective victim of our own sustained economic success. There's no need to confront hard realities and clean out the closet as long as there's tomorrow's paycheck to bail us out of yesterday's bad decisions. Everyone's been waiting for the debt bomb to eventually go off, but instead, maybe we'll all just sort of suddenly unconsciously decide it's gone on too long and self-destruct.

Would you say the same about Bill Clinton? The one primary difference I see between Trump and the rest, is that he's so arrogant that he's never seen a need to hide his arrogance. This is one of the reasons he won: he spoke several flat-out truths that were just frustratingly absent from the dialog in the past. For example, that George W. invaded the wrong country. The same about Bill Clinton as in "he exhibits every negative trait that could be listed"? No. Bill Clinton, did not exhibit those traits that I see Trump exhibiting on a daily basis. Not even close. But I'd agree, that Trump is so arrogant (and lacking in basic social skills, general awareness about, interest in the feelings/concerns of others) that that alone puts him in his own category. And yes, I think at first, some did find his absence of filter to be refreshing, but I'm also betting there's all sorts of those same folks who would now be thrilled to have the old stuffed shirt, skilled and schooled in social etiquette, type leader representing the US. "Be careful what you wish for"...has an all too real meaning to many who said they wanted change. Bill was better at presenting a facade, but he acted exactly the way Trump described himself in the bus tape. Trump has no filter, but the impulses of these past "statesmen" are written in all sorts of negative outcomes for the American people: NAFTA, for instance. Your criticisms of Trump's character are inarguable, as he's his own worst character witness, but Trump promised to do something about NAFTA when he was campaigning, and he delivered.
My reaction when Trump first announced was pure and utter contempt. " That egomaniac? Man, give me a break". Then I noticed the anger from the people who were supporting him, and that gave me pause as well. But since then, I've been judging him on his results as the Chief Executive, and I'm not in the habit of reading anyone's twitter, much less his, 'cause ain't nobody got time fer 'dat.

If the Republican’s agenda is so good why do they have to gerrymander districts to favor their electoral probabilities, why do they use Jim Crow tactics to suppress the minority vote, why do they lie about their positions (on healthcare, for example), or lie about the Democrats positions (like on immigration)?
But don’t offer false equivalences like “the Democrats use similar political tactics”, they do not.

Here's the Michigan solution to gerrymandering, which is on our ballot Tuesday. www.votersnotpoliticians.com/thesolutionI guarantee this, too, shall pass. Its the state legislatures which pull that crap, which is one reason why the Democrats need to vote en masse and non stop until that abhorrent political party is completely destroyed, root and stem.

Okay. So sounds like you are one of those who say, "So long as I'm getting what I want, it's all good"?

Well, there's a presupposition to this that I don't accept, but I'm sorry, the ACA was a blatant grabbag giveaway to both the insurance companies and each and every one of the industries that prosper off of people's physical illness. How is it that anything the Democrats had to say about it was in the least bit honest?

So, there are about 6000 to 8000 people in what appears to be 2 caravans (not to be confused with Dodge Caravans), made up of mostly women and children, and a few good men heading for the U.S., right? They've been on the road for quite awhile, pretty much starving, dehydrated, and sleeping in soggy fields which harbor god only knows what. Trump's fear based solution is to meet them with 15,000 active duty military, in full combat gear, because he sees this as a threat.... A threat to what? I see 6-8,000 people coming here in the hope of getting jobs no one else wants to do. He's outta touch with reality, and needs to take another look at Yemen, too. Tuesday can't get here soon enough. Is this really true? What if farm and other wages were allowed to rise to market prices?
Here's the thing about the dreamers: it's a horrible Kafkaesque situation that only a monster would wish on even their own enemy, but let's say we legalize them all in one go the way Reagan did, what happens 20 years from now? What's the solution to that problem?

It's the press that coined this neo-Victorian term, "sexual misconduct", which I'll refer to here because it's convenient. From what you're writing here, I'd say it's a fair inference that then the only way we should believe someone guilty of sexual misconduct is if they admit to it? Okay. So sounds like you are one of those who say, "So long as I'm getting what I want, it's all good"? This is precisely the kind of nasty ad-hominem that most political discussion eventually devolves into. No, I haven't even remotely suggested that this is the way I feel about Trump, or about any other issue, for that matter.

And also, like many Repubs, it looks like you want to focus on your one main issue, and ignore all of the other crap.

This just sounded to me as though you were saying you did not so much care about his character displays but rather, the results: "But since then, I've been judging him on his results as the Chief Executive," I know a few folks here in Canada, who have said they don't give a flying Fuck whether or not Trump thinks it's okay to grab women's crotches, or whether or not Trump has honesty issues, or whether or not he contradicts himself, makes fun of alleged attempted rape victims or handicapped folks, so long as the policies he enacts, are in line with what they approve of. So, that "is not" then, what you were saying? (& Sorry if I took your words wrong.)
