I got this idea from the story of Dhruva, a four year old boy, devotee of Lord Vishnu. He was meditating near a lake. He stood only with one leg and thinking only of Lord Vishnu. When he decided to close all the holes of his body. This created earthquakes, tremors from the upper, middle and lower planetary systems. Fearing the worlds would end, the denizens asked help from Lord Brahma. Since, Lord Brahma, the creator could not pacify the boy, he went to the shore in the Ocean of Milk. There Brahma prayed to Lord Vishnu who was sitting on the Mandara mountain telling him about Dhruva. When Lord Vishnu heard Brahma`s prayer, the former immediately went to Dhruva. Lord Vishnu suddenly appeared in the lake. Dhruva hearing the sound of someone coming out of the water saw Lord Vishnu. When Dhruva stopped what he was doing, the earthquakes also stopped. Dhruva said. " O Lord. Now that I have seen You. I no longer desire anything. " Lord Visnhu however awarded Dhruva the Polestar.
The Polestar is the Sisumara, North Star, the Polaris, the hub from where the upper, middle and lower planetary systems revolved. If you want to reach Vaikuntha or the planets where Vishnu and his expansions reside, you pass through Sisumara ( Polestar ).
The Polestar are Exit Portals from where souls after bodies die exit/escape. The souls are taken to different places to receive correspondingly bodies which suit the souls taste and desires.
An example of an exit portal in this life is when suddenly we meet a friend/classmate we did not see for years. All of the sudden he/she pops up. Yet. you know that this friend/classmate frequents the places you go to say, at supermarkets, malls. But how come you don`t get to meet? It`s only when an exit portal opens that you see someone you know which only until now you get to meet again. Doors, entrances that you enter are exit portals. In every room there are doors. They are exit portals. Inside with another person you only meet for the first time or a long time is a new world to explore.
