While I don't believe in the flat earth theory, it's as ripe as can be for stuff like this - I've seen a couple threads elsewhere and have not had the pleasure of seeing these before.  |

Thing is, I woke up from a cat nap (*mutley snicker*) and one of my very first thoughts was about the flat irth spirassy and I thought the best way to clear it up is to ask a professional pilot - wouldn't it? or an asstronaught? I joke because I love  |

I can't think of the flat earth thing these days, it messes with my mind too much. There are people whose intelligence and research I respect....and then they say the flat earth is possible. Aaaarrggghh. I don't believe it. But I don't think it is impossible.
I also think it could be a massive psy op. The thing with being a conspiracy theorist is that you do have to open your mind to many alternative ideas. Once opened, there is perhaps a susceptibility to really radical ideas. They can seem convincing. Kind of like hypnotism, they get you nice and comfy and then sling a suggestion in. I know that evey time I consider flat earth, there comes a point where I have to consciously reject it for the sake of my sanity. And yet....maybe its just not time for me to accept it.

My mind won't even consider FE. I've been in a plane or two in my life and for me, it's undeniably roundish, heheh.
Thig is, if planes and other aircraft manage to navigate and get to where they're going, that's enough knowledge for me, y'know. It's not going to cause any lost sleep - god knows there's plenty of reasons for losing sleep.

I lately heard someone saying something like this about the so called flat-earth conspiracy people: "The flat-earth conspiracy has been cooked up to discredit otherwise good researchers, who are into digging into certain stuff very deeply. And then they discover the flat-earth theory and find it reasonable and start to argue it also. That's when they stop being credible. Then they loose all the credibility they have build before. The flat-earth conspiracy theory is the final nail in the truth-coffin of someone who might be otherwise a source of truely investigative discoveries. And then he or she believed the flat-earth theorie and is done once and for all and will never be taken seriously any longer and is just another formally promising truther who gets (metaphorically) killed in the field by arguing that flat-earth stuff. |
