Well, the drama over there these days is gonna' put some demand on his attention. Guy's tryin' to do a difficult job. It doesn't help if we start sniping back at the ST dialog with content (like figs did here) that reminisces to the bad old days of the Unmoderated section.  I'd say that rowan is the only one of us that's earned the right to do that by refraining from any ST posts.  I'll tell ya what we got here, folks. A couple of jackasses masquerading as being awake. No mystery. Teachers my ass.  You'll get no argument from me. |

Wow! So, why do we have to argue that for years while being insulted at every turn?  You are treating this quote from Nisargadatta where he speaks in the context of the ultimate knower, as the sole authority on realization. That's why Rowan has fallen for your parroting skills. I agree with every word that Niz says, but that's not the whole story. Take off your blinkers! I haven't said anything about it being the whole story or about Niz being the sole authority on anything. Just pointing out that Niz said many of the same things we do, but when we say it it's called nonsense story telling. You even admit to agreeing with Niz, but you disagree when we say it. That should give you pause for reflection though I know it doesn't. |

No, you are suffering under the delusion that everyone else is constantly relating everything that gets written to an image of the enlightened being that they think they are. If it wasn't the case you'd be able to free your mind from the frogfiggle hook. But, you are quite powerless in this regard.

This forum was created in response to the restriction of speech at ST, so I think it's safe to say making that job easier isn't really a concern here. As for the difficult job he's taken on, it may be difficult because virtually everyone is participating in the petafrogery that he wants to stop in their name, and little else seems to galvanize attention. He doesn't have anything beyond verbal support for that mission, which I suspect is more of a posturing for the moral high ground than an actual interest in a different kind of conversation. As I mentioned again recently, there really isn't any spiritual work going on in either forum. Mostly, it's mental and emotional preparatory work for any potential serious seeking. As such, it can get messy, as you know. I'm not really interested in sharing enlightenment experiences, or playing seeker to a group of self appointed sages, so frog petting is what I'm left with. There's a potential for the dialog on this forum to elevate far beyond it's origins, just as there's a potential for the dialog on ST to elevate as well. I don't have any illusions that the last few things I've written here gravitate toward that possibility. I've also seen glimpses of the potential over on ST at various times. And in what I'm imagining and in those glimpses that I've caught, noone need hold their tongue. |
