…well they’d never say they were in the first place. In SR it’s realized that NOBODY wakes up or gets enlightened.

I gave up SR a long time ago maybe it's because I don't know how. My goal in life is finding someone to love even if I have a wife, a girlfriend, something to hope for even it wont come at all and thinking of what to do every minute, every hour, every day, as I wait for the void to finally take me in.

Yeah, as much as we might speak as though there is, ultimately, there is no 'someone/something' that gets or IS enlightened.....being awake is removing of the false...that which obscures...and what is left is an absence of a "someone" that is having an experience, and instead, just objectless awareness.... OF experience. |

..that said, there are certain 'hallmarks' of SR/wakefulness...stuff that appears that lends itself to suggesting an absence of imagined separation....but ultimately, just as I cannot know for absolute certain THAT there are multiple experiences, I also cannot/do not know the specific content of a so called "other" experience.....so all we have to go on is appearance, and we know that cannot be relied upon to tell us the absolute certain Truth of things.

Sorry, not clear to me here what you're saying. You seem to start out saying you 'gave up' on the idea of SR a long time ago, but the last bit sounds as though you are still 'waiting'....? |

Yep there are no others. Then it’s projection.. Yup. So what we have then is but, "apparent" viewpoints, which can be representative of wakefulness or fast asleep in the dream. So called "enlightenment," is just that....a perspective....a non-local vantage point, which is primary over a personal vantage point. When we talk with "others" on spiritual forums and such, comparing and sharing our views, some expressed views will seem to have a realized seeing of Oneness behind them, others not so much. There are some definite ideas/beliefs that get seen through in SR, thus, anyone still arguing/making strong points for stuff like LOA/deliberate creation as "actual/Truth," for example, would be a red flag, as would someone making a strong point against pointers such as; Time, causation, volitional are misconceptions...illusions. To defend those delusions that gets seen for what they are....seen through, in realization, can mean nothing other than that there has no yet been the realization of no separation. I think less reliable, but still not to be glossed over completely, are apparent behaviors and interests. There's a difference for example between being interested in something clearly known to be appearance only, vs. vehemently arguing for that appearance as ultimate Truth. |

So, I gave up playing the guitar, and gave it to someone I knew who could play. |
