Esponja also chose to leave due to attempts to control her free expression, and on the heels of threats of banning by Reefs....and just recently, Zazeniac, who was contributing some really great stuff as well, chose to leave, again, I think due to Reef's tyrannical moderation.
Really good, quality conversations... sincere posters, one after the other, run off or banned. I know for fact there was a request recently by a few to try to oust Reefs, but evidently, to no avail. So silly really, that there even has to be two forums for a group of folks who have been conversing about Nonduality for years now.

Thanks for including me there Gopal....agree that both E and Robertk getting banned/run-off the ST forum was a loss..Sree also was..things were just starting to simmer there, was getting interesting. Maybe...come back here and we can try to make this one work again...? (Hey.. .I might even let you change the colors!  ..and will share Reef's instagram link if you're really nice...  ) That's the only line force me to come back he he |

The seeker who mistakes himself to be a separate some-one/some-thing is all too likely to mistake the dharma challenges/dharma battles inherent to spiritual forum Truth-talk for 'personal harassment.'
When one truly sees that he is not limited to/by any idea/viewpoint the me character espouses, he's naturally then okay with having those views challenged, and won't take things personally, won't feel the need to run away from challenge and/or ban/block the words/voice that pose the challenge.
A sincere interest in Truth = a sincere acceptance/allowance of challenge to espoused views re: such.
The very best litmus test of the absence/presence of identification with the limited, appearing person, is the presence or absence of fear/disgust/intolerance for having spiritual views challenged.
If someone is up for partaking on a spiritual discussion forum dedicated to Truth, then without even saying so, he's holding his views up to civil challenge. That's the nature of Truth-talk.
If you mistake strong, direct challenge of your espoused spiritual views to be the equivalent of 'personal attack...cyberstalking....personal harassment,' then without a doubt, you've got your answer, sir.

Do you think you'd be able to tell the difference between a 'stalker who is obsessed with the pursuit of recognition' vs. a poster on a forum supposedly dedicated to Truth, with a strong interest in pointing away from delusion to Truth? How about the difference between dharma combat vs. combat over the best way to ice a cake? Do you have any awareness as to the difference between challenge for the sake of pointing away from delusion vs. challenge for the sake of upholding one relative idea over another? It's true that there are times on spiritual forums where civility goes out the window and what was a challenge of ideas turns into an attack on the person, and that generally devolves into what might be classified as a 'food fight,' but it's also important to see that mere challenge of another's understanding does not necessarily have to equal 'personal attack.' You seem to be standing in far deeper judgment of the one who is single sighted in their pursuit of Truth vs. the one who runs away from challenge...who refuses to hold their spiritual ideas up to the light of direct challenge. |

Yup. But how come you mention that, but fail to correct Reefs that in terms of WIBIGO, Gopal is not in fact "complaining about a lack of food-fighting and dead-horse beating"?

Because as far as WIBIGO extends, opinions are WIBIGO, when they are expressed. That Gopal is not complaining about a lack of food-fighting is equally as 'observable' WIBIGO, as is cycles of inactivity on both forums. Reefs has a nasty habit of telling outright lies....and you, of defending her or standing in refusal to address her nonsense...even though I am quite sure you DO see it. |
