In a nutshell, there are two ways to approach the issue of alignment or lack thereof.
One is from the position of seeing the goal as eventually being in such deep, abiding alignment that you easily/effortlessly manifest only stuff that aligns with your preferences.
The 2nd way is from the position of seeing the goal as being in such deep, abiding alignment that regardless of what is happening in form, that alignment cannot be disturbed...thus, what's actually manifesting, Is Unconditional Peace.
So long as the focus is upon the conformance of the material, you won't be free. True freedom is emotional centeredness even in the face of material circumstances that do not conform to preference.
When you think about it, What more powerful a lesson about what it means to be free, than finding yourself knee deep in material circumstances that would generally be regarded as 'difficult,' but to remain emotionally undisturbed by them?
The best teachers demonstrate through example....The 'lesson' Niz and Ramana's students received as they observed the continued equanimity in the face of fatal disease, would have been priceless.

To expound upon this: "All situations are fundamentally neutral and can serve double duty. They can create a negative or a positive reflection. That is solely determined by what energy vibration and attitude and belief system you assign to that situation."
