I felt that it was a great representation of having no choice and why meditation for happiness is such a hoax, and I wondered if I'm wasting my time. I don't think I am. I'd like to ask you why drag meditation for anything into it? I don't see any connection between the two. I enjoy your generally skeptic nature, but it can be taken a smidge too far. Kinda dawned on me the other day that Theo may be a proponent of the Left-Hand Path in Buddhism. www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/15227975

Really? Now it's wrong to make points at all? Even if it doesn't include pictures of starving children? Is that the point you want to make? Wow! Did that post strike a little too close to home? Insanity has a way of demanding a response from me. Peeps can't seem to understand why they continue to suffer, but they fail to notice their own insanity.

Hmm...I have my doubts about that. Yeah, you're probably right. Maybe he's just out of myrrh, and hasn't had a chance to get to the store.

Purification of what in terms of what? And what for? What's impure and why purify it? Purification of mind of course. From what impurity? What does a pure mind look like?

Ishimaru (and so many other people all around the world) are talking about an empty mind being the condition for causeless happiness. This empty mind they try to achieve through meditation. This picture is a very good example to laugh a bit about this notion. I'm pretty sure that it can be taken a smidge too far, but it would be quite hard to take it much farther than, say, meditation and spirituality in general being the cure all for all happiness shortage.

They are the same ones I have right now, dear Really? Reads like a buncha baaklava to me. Do you understand why free choice making doesn't exist?
