the mountain exists in my mind because light from the mountain has entered my eyes and is converted to electrical signals which my mind brain has interpreted as a mountain. So yes the mountain is in my consciousness. How are you concluding this?
The light you are talking about is viewed in your consciousness as well, eh? Seriously?

Are you not perceiving the light in consciousness? Moutain and Light both are appearing in consciousness, yes ? I'm not interested in this conversation. Sorry. I see the mountain. That's enough for me. I have no more interest beyond the simple experience of seeing the mountain.

So your direct experience is only the inner world. Don't say you experience an outer world, that's false.

When I take a photo of the mountain it is appearing on the screen of my phone. Does that mean there is no real mountain? I know more about the mountain than you do about consciousness. What is this consciousness that the mountain is appearing in?. Who told you there is such a thing as consciousness. I can see the mountain. Where is the consciousness?

There is a shift in seeing that reveals both the hand and the shadow are equally, empty appearance...neither having inherent existence in it's own right....both ephemeral arisings within/to that which abides. It's impossible to say whether a hand has an inherent existence or any other object of the world for that matter. It's just a belief. It just so happens that you have chosen to believe Advaita, the only school out of the six schools of Vedanta which believes the world is merely an appearance. Apart from the dualists, the other non-dual schools including non Vedanta non-dual philosophies such as tantric shivism believe the world is real. Wrong....the absence of inherent, fundamental existence of all that appears, can be directly seen/realized. But, only if you are seeing from the vantage point that is completely beyond/prior to ALL appearance. All that appears arises ephemerally "within/to" that which fundamentally exists. Again, from a very particular vantage point, this becomes crystal clear. Try to grasp this though while seeing is still mired within the dream, and it will sound like hokum. I've never studied "Advaita" per se....all I speak of has been directly, non-conceptually realized.

Thank you, but what is your idea here ? Do you follow Advaita Vendantha? No I identify myself more with tantric shaivism which is non-duality but believes that the world is real. It has inherent existence. But what have you seen/realized directly? No doctrine, no books, no teachings at all are necessary. The Truth is the Truth.

You know that to be true? You strongly believe there is an outer world exist in itself ? It is not a belief. It is my experience that there is an outer world. Experience cannot be relied upon to tell you the absolute Truth of things.

Let us assume I talk what I read somewhere. But can't you verify? Isn't mountain exist in your consciousness? the mountain exists in my mind because light from the mountain has entered my eyes and is converted to electrical signals which my mind brain has interpreted as a mountain. So yes the mountain is in my consciousness. "As all waves are in the ocean, so are all things physical and mental in awareness. Hence awareness itself is all-important, not the content of it." Niz

And that's entity is imagined only...it's a delusion. Yes, if/when a mountain appears, a mountain IS appearing, but you are imagining all sorts of extraneous stuff (delusion) in tandem with that appearance.
