No more beatings around it.. just thinking arising You are really exemplifying here precisely 'what' goes in awakening. An interest in meditating for the present moment benefit (immediate sense of joy, pleasure, quietude, etc,) may indeed still continue to arise...what doesn't continue though is that self-berating, SVP inspired judgment that it should happen or needs to happen so that a positive future situation, beyond here and now, can be secured. That’s it, I may still do it but it’s not to ‘get anywhere’. Just for the enjoyment of it.

Ha! Ok, we'll see ? Yep, I have no idea what you are talking about but don’t worry that’s normal for me on these forums.

Might need a spoiler alert if you haven't seen the show and want to (I haven't). Didn't know where to stick this, so just thought I'd place it here. I still enjoy gritty looks at the darker side of light, when folks seem right on the edge and may/not be aware of walking some fine line between schizo mind-based interpretations and bringing someNothing into greater clarity. I kinda see it all as a mediation of sorts, beseeing the boundless take on shape and meaning into formation of context.

I remember watching this when it first came out (when you had to wait a week for the next episode), and I found it to be a very interesting story.
