Sree really does have a point imo. A spiritual forum that is moderated by someone with a very unfair sense of justice...much like a supposed free country run by tyrants who clearly not only don't value personal freedom, but are trying to stomp on it, lays the ground for a response from observers that reveals much about their values and ethics.
The fact that so many over on ST just stood by (or in some cases even supported/applauded) Reefs (and ZD) as they ran/blocked/banned numerous members, including me, off the ST forum for simply, directly, civilly, challenged their views, was shocking. I get it, it's just a discussion forum...nothing in life is actually fair...yada yada.....but my sense has always been that true integrity mostly shows itself in the minutiae of life..the stuff that often goes unseen except by the few involved.....the day to day exchanges and actions/behaviors, modes of expression, interactions that are not being grandstanded on public stages where crowds are gathered.
A small, spiritual forum where the majority allows a small minority to perpetuate an unfair system, may not seem like a big deal in the large scheme of things, but really, the large scheme of things is of course, comprised of a bunch of smaller things that at some point, do add up.
Reefs behavior towards Robertk yesterday, particularly considering it was coming from a mod, was uncalled for....abusive. Even moreso, it was strange....kind of "de-ranged" seeming. I know for fact I'm not the only one who thinks that. I heard by pm from a few folks..a couple who just read along...one who participates sporadically over on ST as well, who I figured had long ago disappeared.
It was cool to see a few like Sree standing up....SomeNothing at times pushes back a little...a few others...and I know in the past Andrew has really championed those booted off for challenging Reefs and ZD...& I get it, at some point it just gets old and folks don't want any part of it. It's like a family where there's a deranged senior who rules the roost and everyone just tows the line and gives him a wide berth 'cause they've learned the hard way that to challenge him is futile and will only invite backlash.
Anyway, Reefs, I'm not the only one who 'sees you' and your insincere/dishonest ways. Your lack of integrity is ever so much more obvious now. You cannot tolerate challenge, cannot accept correction or a mere suggestion that you are wrong or not seeing clearly about something....you consistently lash out egoically, unable to conceal your rage when challenged too deeply and will attempt to win an argument by any means even if that means outright lying. Ultimately, you are only lying to yourself...no real favors there.
Sincerity...honesty....integrity to the Truth...those are the elements of auspiciousness when it comes to breaking free and being free. The willingness to be challenged...to have your views/words pointing to Truth picked over...turned over....pulled apart, dissected, is the hallmark of one who sincerely, honestly wants to get to the Truth.
The degree to which one can handle challenge/direct debate of his spiritual views is the degree to which he is sincere about his interest in Truth. Those who eschew challenge, who back away, play games, can't handle it, are only interested in maintaining the sacredness of their current view/beliefs....they are fearful of perhaps realizing that they have not yet apprehended the Truth after all.

While I do agree where Andrew is concerned, I think you're being kind of disingenuous here SN...it's not so much that Sree is curios as to where Reefs was coming from...Sree, as well as several others I have spoken with, saw enough to arrive at what he deems to be a sound conclusion about Reefs. He's more curios why everyone on that forum mostly just goes along with Reefs bullying tactics and contradictions as he defends his positions.
Asking Reefs those kinds of questions will like garner avoidance, a slap, both, possible banning.
Why are you trying to divert Sree away from his relative interest in what he deems to be forum behaviors that denote an absence of clarity...hypocrisy...lack of conscious awareness of mind's machinations?
Talking about the various ways that ego tries to hide...mind tries to deny, is part and parcel of the pathless path re: clarity.

Yes...which includes the very idea of being a deliberate creator/LOA. I notice though you don't directly confront Reefs about that 'mind-made drama,'...why is that?
To be fair, you are not alone and you actually at least make a few small attempts to question the nonsense...but it's odd to see you far more intent on trying to point out Sree's delusions than Reefs.
Sree is not holding himself up as SR/awake...Reefs very much is.
I think I know though why you're not interested in going there.

Regardless of what words you use, you are demonstrating a person value of "staying calm no matter what." The very delineating of that as "an ability" says it all.
What you are positing there is 'stoicism,'....an ability to remain somewhat in control over emotions, non-reactive outwardly speaking, even in moments where there is an inner feeling of deep discord in play...
An actual absence of a deeply discordant feeling/emotion/reaction is not under the control of the person...rather, when the SVP is absent, so are those deeply discordant emotions...one absence correlates with the other.

Nah. Nothing experiential actually 'distances' you from spiritual Truths, so long as you've seen it all as empty of Truth. The words that we use to talk about Truth are of course removed from the non-conceptual actuality they ultimately point to.
I think for you specifically 'arguing' about spiritual truths does go hand in hand with a feeling of 'being distant from truth,' simply because it impacts you to such a degree, emotionally. Your ego gets caught up in the sense of being challenged and you react strongly to that....you don't like that feeling so of course you try to avoid it. Same with ZD...and Reefs. They love espousing their viewpoints on a spiritual forum, but they loathe challenge.
Challenge of espoused views should be a given on a forum where the main thrust is supposedly "Ultimate Truth."

Precisely. The very idea that there is a singular sign that has "problems letting go of feelings," is pretty silly. That's the very nature of the SVP to mis-identify with feelings and thus, hang onto them. This is what makes all the difference re: feelings when it comes to waking up. In SR, feelings just arise and then flow on through, whereas when the delusion of separation is in play, feelings linger as they are identified with and overlayed with all sorts of deluded ideas inherent to the SVP. Astrology is a lot like LOA in that there's never a shortage of caveats that get applied to explain seeming inconsistencies. A person behaves in a way that doesn't align at all with what astrology says should be, and some magical rule/law will get pulled out of hat.....similarly the way an obvious inconsistency regarding manifestation/emotional countenance will get brushed aside....excuses made. Mind loves all that categorizing and labelling...the very idea that behaviors and conditions can be predictably known based on so called universal laws. Nothing puts all of that into perspective quite like waking the hell up.

I would suggest inquiring into it. What it is that makes the feeling 'bad' per se? Try to stip the base arising feeling bare, before mind got to it to judge it as 'bad.' It's very likely that the basic feeling that arose, morphed and got sticker...heavier...developed more substance as mind judged it and added to it.
Absent mind's judgments about basic, arising/falling feelings, they really are neither intrinsically 'good or bad,'....absent the overlay of mind's assessments and judgments, ALL feelings are fleeting....they arise and fall...nothing to get stuck upon.

Interesting that you keep making this point whenever someone mentions a particular teacher/teaching in a way that indicates resonance with them, and yet you yourself have shared that you are an avid fan/reader/follower of Vadim Zeland....the "pendulum" stuff....as well as the Seth material..
Why do you judge others who turn to 'outside material' for knowledge as having no idea they can tap into inner knowledge?
You don't seem to apply the same standards to yourself that you apply to others.
Becoming consciously aware of mind's machinations demands that we are aware of these kinds of hypocritical views....it demands that we hold ourselves to the same standards of judgment that we hold others to...it's called personal integrity.

I don't think you've thought this one through Ina.
If one is capable of doing his own interpretation according to his level of evolvement, doesn't that then also include an ability to take the other's words and subject them to that same inner interpretation?
And aren't you one who argues for "the person is creating his entire experience"? If that is so, then isn't the other person and his viewpoint/spiritual views/interpretations, etc. also part and parcel of that?
If it's all Ina's creation....then why the need for drawing a hard line between Ina's spiritual views and the spiritual views offered by 'another' person? Didn't Ina 'create/draw' that specific other person, AND those viewpoints of that person into his experience?

Did you come up with the whole "Pendulum" idea prior to or post engaging with this author/material? Seems to me you've adopted quite a lot of the specific language/ideas inherent in these teachings....particularly for one who is so insistent that looking outwards to other's ontologies is a fool's errand. Ironic, that one!
