I open this thread because of my observation that the English language is not the only medium in speaking and writing in arriving at spiritual truths. Take for example the thread " Jed Mckenna outed by Tano? " The views and replies to the issues placed seemed to go nowhere. Was I enlightened or have understood what it`s all about? Yes, I admire the way the English grammar is being spun by the reactors. I say, " Great are the placement of words, nouns, verbs and adjectives but does the means justify the end? " Were the viewers enlightened what Jed Mckenna has to say? In one of his videos/discussion, Jed starts with the Gita. Well, that`s all I need to know about the whole thing he`s talking. The conversations in this thread, " Jed Mckenna outed by Tano? " is getting to be very monotonous. There`s grabbing of attention. The rest of the threads in the general spiritual discussion section are stalled or left hanging because of the monopoly of the thread. At the other forum, ST. that kind of thread existed which had a hundred thousand views and thousand of replies. Now it`s no longer being used. Simply because the people who used it are here. Lol!
" Ang Ginoo sa kamatu-uran gitawag og Gugma " in my dialect ( Visayan ) means " The truth: God is love. " The rest are only decorations.

Those are some good observations, k but can you explain a little further what you meant when you said, " In one of his videos/discussion, Jed starts with the Gita. Well, that`s all I need to know about the whole thing he`s talking"?

For those involved, there is deep interest and a sense of a conversation that is moving forward, or at least if there's an intensity to the discussion, there's an intent to move it forward and to be understood and to understand, but unfortunately, there's going to be some folks reading along who are left cold by the exchange, as it is a very different thing to actually be embroiled in a debate, vs. reading along. The subtle and seemingly slow shifts in argument when the same misunderstanding keeps arising, can be particularly boring and often when that happens, folks reading along, who had limited interest in the subject matter in the first place, start dropping off. (That said, there are some debates I have read along with on ST, or here, where I am as interested in, as if I were participating...for me, it all depends upon the specific subject matter and how interested I am in it). Plain and simply, Attention goes where interest arises....I'm certainly not going to stop engaging in a conversation I'm interested in engaging in, just because someone is bored by it, or not enjoying it......or to try to create more diversity of threads. I'm not interested in manufacturing traffic, but rather, prefer to let things develop organically. The nature of any public forum is that attention goes where the interest is. As I see it, you just cannot buck that current, and to try just creates a false movement, that is sure to backfire at some point.

Perpetual discussions or debates can be summarized in agreeing to disagree. This is what I observed in non-duality threads such as Jed Mckenna outed by Tano and Slow dancing in the fast lane. Jesus Christ said otherwise regarding people coming together for enlightenment. He said, " When two or more are gathered together in my name, I am also there present. " Blessed Saint Pope John Paul II once said when asked about the definition of hell. This is what he said, " Hell is a place when nobody remembers anymore to mention and discuss the most holy names of God."

Likely all sorts of holy talk & names of God going on in the dark little room behind the Altar after Catholic mass, where the Priest abused his alter boy, and I'll bet plenty of those victims figured that was a pretty 'hell'ish' place.

Las Vegas Casinos are examples of places in hell. Schools without crucifixes inside classrooms, where God`s name is not invoked by students are places in hell. Regarding the priest molesting an altar boy is caused by testosterone hormone. Do you know the word horn was derived from the word hormone. Too mush of sexual hormones cause one to grow horns err horny?

Ah...so the dark 'lil room behind the altar, was still 'heavenly' due to the God talk going on in it, (and the crucifix that hangs on the wall, of course) and never mind the pesky molestation, 'cause it's just a result of over abundant hormones?

Those are some good observations, k but can you explain a little further what you meant when you said, " In one of his videos/discussion, Jed starts with the Gita. Well, that`s all I need to know about the whole thing he`s talking"? Jad Mckenna started talking about the Gita at 6:03-7:37 in this video. Thereafter, I lost interest in what he was saying. He has no devotion for God Krishna.

Molestation/rape occurs everywhere even in ashrams of gurus teaching impersonalism/non-dual philosophies. Anywhere and everywhere wherever there`s man and woman around. Spiritual gurus are not immune to sex, mentally or physically. Blessed Saint John Paul II definition of hell has nothing to do with sex. He defined hell when people no longer remember to chant/teach/preach the most holy names of God. Non-duality matches Saint John Paul II definition of hell. Because non-duality teachings do not teach about the works of Christ Jesus, Krishna and Balarama. Non-dualists feel they are at par with God. That is an illusion.
