I just witnessed one of these...found an injured Magpie hopping around my yard this morn....had tried to capture him to take to wildlife rescue, but he hopped off and hid under the neighbors vehicle before I could do so. I kept checking as I knew the neighbors cat was around.....and at one point, saw he was lying on his side, feet extended outward....I assumed dead, but then a few minutes later, all at once, around 20 Magpies suddenly swooped down...as if they knew the moment of his death and did all sorts of noisy hopping around, sniffing about his body, milling about for about 7-8 minutes, and then all at the same time, flew off....very moving.

Very cool. I think I would say I feel unconditional love for animals and plants
