Ah, interesting...I used to read that one once & awhile myself, but never participated....but yeah, to me too, bad smell.   And the Jed character agreed with most of what I said, which was a bit disconcerting. Even moreso in retrospect.  |

No. You're asking someone to give proof that teacher is authentic. It's good fodder for hundreds of pages of posts, but it is not simple. It's not even about proof. Just tell me 'there, I think this guy is authentic', let me see him and then if you'd like it I could chime in on the matter. Sounds like the beginning of that 'hundreds of pages of posts' I mentioned. |

All I know is that he seems to be on a mission and that he hates being talked about behind his back.  If I had a problem about being talked about behind my back I'd send you pms asking you who you talk to about me, like your bestie does. You can talk behind my back and I won't know. You talking publicly about anyone without mentioning them, when you share the same space with them, is excessive cowardice and weakness. I'm repulsed by it, and if you weren't possesing the aforementioned qualities you wouldn't dream of doing it in the extent you do. See, maybe I offend you, maybe I do not, maybe you pretend I don't, but at least I had the decency to quote you on that, and not talk about it with someone I temporarily agree with (lol) without you taking notice. Just imagine doing that in real life, say in a bar. You'd get slapped very often. Well, don't whine about digi-slapping. All you did here is demonstrate the truth of what I said using a few untruths. |

So is the extraneous thought that you're missing the point...  That you really think it's extraneous removes any credibility from your post. If you admit it's not extraneous, then tell me where what you call extraneous is coming from. I would say that statement appears to be a mental projection, but I can't confirm any sentience coming from the empty appearance... So have a nice day... |

If by authentic we mean 'enlightened', then I'll save you the hassle once again. It's a moving goalpost for every charlatan to make money or earn attention, it doesn't exist. Everyone is enlightened and nobody is. So, any teacher claiming enlightenment is either a charlatan or he doesn't know where his nose is. The outcome is the same. Feel free to challenge, and if you do, do it with me, not with a proxy. Play fair. For an enlightenment skeptic you talk a lot of sense.  |

Whether I am an appearance or not to you isn't of the matter, the fact is, I have not the slightest idea where you got this idea that what I wrote is a mental projection. You disregard your own mental output and you project onto me that I mentally project what you yourself wrote? That's insane. I didn't say it "IS" a mental projection, I said it "appears" to be mental projection. So if you are an empty appearance it couldn't possibly have come from you, isn't it?  If a dream character tells me I need to justify what I say, that mental projection is being projected from my own mind, not the dream character. |

Of course I don't like being talked to in a cowardly manner, that's true and it's not like you'd like it either. Our difference is that you'd pretend not to be touched by it, when clearly what you do isn't well natured at all. When I see something that really aught to be looked into, I tend to point it out, in spite of the inevitable attack that I know will follow. That's not really cowardly. |

The last thing he wants is the scrutiny of his "I am enlightened, I will tell you about it, come to me" mantra. It's similar to the unconscious vanity of the awakened Aristocracy at the Spiritual Teachers forum. |
