Enigma is psyching himself up into believing that anyway misery will strike him if he gets too happy or blissful, and it will. But if you understand that you alone make up both joy and misery, then there will be no problem living in duality. That's exactly why joy and misery must define each other in your experience, and therefore remain balanced. Your own experience tells you it is so. Bliss arises between joy and misery, they both creations of the Mind enigma, Thus one never need ever think and delude themselves that their answers are correct any longer, all words creations of their Mind; all understanding remaining in their belly. The heart is the seat of Knowledge.
'The eternity of “anytime” shines in this moment “now” while the unlimitedness of “anyplace” is manifested in the limits of “here.” When the universality of “anyone” dances out in the individual “I,” for the first time you have the world of Zen.' ~ Omori Sogen

It is the zero setting on the bliss meter.

Zeroing in on the centre of gravity is the GO! Yes, that joy and sorrow are balanced like Yin and Yang is conceptual folly.

Yes, bliss is the mean average between joy and sorrow. It is the zero setting on the bliss meter. So bliss is a neutral feeling? Not at all enigma, pale grey, cream, or beige coming to mind. Bliss is body aliveness and is attractive to others even though they maybe congenitally blind. Bliss is the minds prior state of awareness. Bliss is life.

What is beautiful? Whatever is perceived joyfully is beautiful. Bliss is the essence of beauty. -Nisargadatta
