His focus is on everything but being. I mean, being is just that, right? Being. He is not in a position to correct others in my view. But I believe he is necessary part of universal creation, as long as he is being used, he will not see the truth, he was destined to work for Gopal, lol  Great points, ALL, Gopal. If you watch out certain people, they react in the exact same way, because there is a universal pattern which needs an expression, this includes from most lovable person to most terrific people, their mind-body destined to carry out certain act in their life, it might not benefit them in any way but it might benefit the whole universe. People like him will easily dismiss when they read what I write, but that too included in the game. |

If you watch out certain people, they react in the exact same way, because there is a universal pattern which needs an expression, this includes from most lovable person to most terrific people, their mind-body destined to carry out certain act in their life, it might not benefit them in any way but it might benefit the whole universe. People like him will easily dismiss when they read what I write, but that too included in the game. I admit to having a hard time understanding what you were pointing at when I first met you. But you know what? When I got out of my head, and started reading your posts with a quiet mind, I began understanding what you've come to share. I enjoy your unique perspective as a result. |

I also recall in our first exchanges on the board that it was like a clash of eastern and western mind. I mean, Eastern mind is so steeped in this experiential understanding of advaita vedanta that it has seeped into the eastern dna. Western mind isn't quite up to speed with regard to that. Gopal had told me he suspected some had not seen it there, so I wanted to make sure anyone who might have an interest was aware. I guess that's what done me in. I guess I should not have included Reefs in the list...? |

Hello Silver...Welcome!! I've now officially been banned from ST. Lol , Why did you do this to Reefs? I included him in the group PM Invite, as I would truly welcome him, as well as anyone from there, to this forum. I really do stand bythe idea that 'the more the merrier,' and as many viewpoints as possible, make for the best forum. Reefs, when he's on point and not caught up in insult and denigration as of the past, or sanitization as he has been lately, adds a strong viewpoint that serves to fuel dynamic conversation. Same can be said for many there whom I've disagreed with in past conversations...I truly DO appreciate the divergent opinions and views for the possible introspection that they might spur. Fact is, I would have truly enjoyed debating with Reefs points of view he expressed on ST, with his new rule of "common decency." It would have made for a pure exchange and challenge of ideas, sans the nastiness he was so famous for...which would have equaled 'a darned good conversation' in my books. The problem with him, was that he always resorted to personal attack, vs. simply addressing the ideas put forth. It's pretty crazy that now HE is the one calling for common decency...not a bad thing at all, so long as he can distinguish an actual breach of the common decency rule vs. a decent post, that is simply from a poster he has taken a personal dislike to. He is far too biased and unaware of that, to be a moderator. The fact that he banned me for inviting folks to a new forum, demonstrates that imo. |

You are welcome here. In fact, I would relish the chance to discuss this previous post of yours. It might just go down as my all-time favorite post of yours, in terms of my deep resonance with what you are saying. Ironically enough, it was this post, and my questioning you about it and how it seems to me to be in direct contrast to your current position with regards to moderating on ST, that instigated the recent 'trouble' between us, & ultimately has resulted in your banning me from ST forums.
The points you make below are quite profound indeed...and if truly grasped, to the degree that one were to actually live by those points, they have the potential to be positively, life changing;
I will add, that it is precisely with the realization of what you say above, that this forum has sprung forth, and it is with the sentiments you expressed above that I intend to moderate this forum. That said, I have little in the way of pre-conceived ideas as to how it will all unfold...it may thrive, or it may dive, who knows. Either way, it will be interesting to see.
