I didn't think it was fair in the grand scheme of things when OJ got all that extra time in Nevada.. but I could care less if someone with a history like Paul Manafort ended up doing some time in the slammer. and Roger Stone lied under oath about Guccifer/Wikileak/whatever else. why all the lying? and why the dangling of pardons during an investigation? if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to hide

most everyone here knows the futility of trying to change someone else's mind but why would you even try? change it from what.. to what? I believe what I believe, but you do you man.

Sham.
Ain't no angels on either side of the contrived and imaginary "left/right" dichotomy - not at the top of the food chain, there ain't. It's like handing out tickets for goin' 60 mph .. Any prosecution - until they're ALL in jail -- is only selective. Better yet, let's use market forces to rebuild a new media that will illuminate all of it, ban any of them from holding any sort of public office - elected or appointed - and ban them from any lobbying or even legal work. Then just move past them.
Manafort's face when he got out of jail he looks like a caricature crazy-ass supervillain plotting his revenge. (.. shows up better in moving footage ..)

(.. shows up better in moving footage ..) there was a time in this country when reasonably minded jurors could set aside their personal beliefs and decide solely on the facts presented. and they have to swear an oath of impartiality before hand so any accusations of wrong doing should be made carefully and solemnly.. plus political affiliation shouldn't affect juror eligibility. but you know about Manaforts prior work in Ukraine (and elsewhere)? sounds like a much more sleazy operative than usual. besides we're not arguing the merits of his case anyway, I'm arguing with your emotional attachment to this issue why didn't you answer my questions?

Partly because you're ignoring many of mine. Both of these two assume a premise you haven't established. The closest I've heard to a "dangle" is Trump saying "you'll see what I'm going to do" or something similar. Takes a moron not to think the pardon's will happen after the election.
This is interesting rhetoric but doesn't reflect that the reality of choosing jurors has always allowed for preclusion based on perspective.
Of the three, Manafort seemed to me to be the least sympathetic .. I did hear some descriptions of his doings and goings etc. But I've never claimed any of these guys are innocent in their overall conduct of business, only pointing out the flaws in the process and opining that the political motivation for those processes should be obvious to anyone who's looking objectively.
This is either a joke, but if not, is the logical fallacy of an appeal to emotion, and you're conflating interest with emotional attachment. Your responses to these factoids that I list are .. interesting. I've always found what I consider to be distorted perception to be .. interesting.
