Elizabeth Warren was just beautiful and devastating in last night's debate. I'm praying she gets the resurgence -- and then the victory -- she so richly deserves.

I'm surprised America's mother-in-law didn't regale us with tales of bailing hay to one-up Mikes comment about how easy it is to teach people to farm. I interviewed at Bloomberg many moons ago (wasn't hired) and also had a vendor meet with them a few years later. In each case someone in the room was very careful to mention Mike in reverential terms. That shit was weird. Guess I would have run into more of that (and still might) if I ever got/get out west to the valley.

Yeah that was straight out of How to be Considered a Globalist Coastal Elitist 101 Ha! Terry McAuliffe in one of the post-debate panels said something similar -- to the effect that Bloomberg just isn't used to being criticized, let alone yelled at, to his face. No one in the Bloomberg organization ever does that.

Goes to show how NY politics, ain't really politics, 'cause we're a one-party city/state. Otherwise he would have tempered his chops in the Mayoral race, but instead, all you have to do is get the backroom nod for the Dem nomination and it's over. When we'd go out to dinner and they wanted to sell us a bottle from a choice of various fizzled water with Latin-root names I'd always quip, "that's ok, we'll just take the Giuliani".

Hehe, ironic you use that example, because that Bloomberg precisely did not win the Dem nod in 2001... which is why he switched parties and ran on the Republican ticket...
